Biodiversity Assessment Training Workshop
SEI organized a biodiversity assessment training workshop on 15-16 August 2018 for participants from government organizations, academia, and civil society. The workshop aimed to build participants’ capacity to use tools such as QGIS and InVEST for biodiversity assessment in the Chindwin River Basin.
On the first day, participants gained hands-on experience using QGIS to identify “Key Biodiversity Areas” under different development threats. The second day focused on calculating ecosystem services in the Chindwin River Basin using the InVEST model.
