This event is the second of a series of the Regional Assessment Workshops which aims to:
- To share information on the current status and future plans of the assessment case studies from Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar.
- To improve understanding of the Robust Decision Support (RDS) process framework, especially: model construction; designing and managing large ensembles of model runs; techniques for scenario exploration and visualization; and trade-off analysis.
- To help address issues emerging or anticipated from the application of RDS processes in the assessments in five countries.
In this interactive workshop, all participants will have an opportunity to exchange the knowledge with other experts from different countries, apply each step of RDS processes and brainstorming on the design for work plan on applying RDS and troubleshooting. By using this methodology, it will support the technical experts and policy makers in relevant agencies in Mekong countries in dealing with uncertainties especially related to water scarcity and drought.
